RESEARCH & BRAND IDEATION

It was never about fitting in. We wanted to create something truly unique.

Blurr was born out of frustration with an eyewear industry that had lost touch with its customers. High street brands cared more about margins than creating a community, churning out the same overhyped designs with no real meaning. We wanted to build something that felt authentic: eyewear inspired by underground culture and made for people who actually live it. But in a world where high street brands dominate, we knew breaking through wouldn’t be easy. That challenge became our motivation.

DESIGN & SAMPLING

Our goal was to match the quality of Ray-Ban while staying as competitively priced as a pair of Mellers—an ambitious but achievable task. Using the same premium materials, we fine-tuned our frames through multiple prototype rounds, obsessing over every detail to ensure top-tier quality. From the smallest bolt to the perfect lens, nothing was left to chance. We tested materials, adjusted fits, and refined every element because when it comes to eyewear, perfection is in the details.

WEBSITE & MARKETING

Our online store was built for a seamless experience—clean, engaging, and true to our brand’s aesthetic and values. To make an impact, we launched a high-energy promo video showcasing our bold designs and deep connection to music culture — now seen by over 2 million people worldwide. Since then, our community has grown to over 40k followers across all platforms, with TikTok videos alone reaching more than 45 million views.

LAUNCH & EARLY SUCCESS

We launched and gained strong support from the music and creative communities, with select designs selling out quickly. We’ve since collaborated with some of the biggest labels and festivals in dance music and secured a retail spot at Jacobs in Bristol. The high demand reinforced the need for quality, music-inspired eyewear, pushing us to be even bolder and more adventurous with our designs.

Like any growing brand, there’s always room to evolve and improve. We’ve spent months perfecting our craft—refining designs, upgrading materials, and pushing boundaries.
